Abstract

This presentation examines the complex and dynamic relationships between various churches in war-torn Ukraine. After the collapse of Soviet Union, an independent Ukrainian state witnessed a surge in religious freedom, allowing for the coexistence of various Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant and other Christian denominations. The contribution focuses especially on the relationships between the Churches adhering to the Kyivan tradition. It delves into the historical context, examining the roots of ecclesial divisions and the impact of geopolitical influences on the current Ukrainian religious landscape.
