In this chapter we argue that reproductive violence and reproductive coercion take place on factory and puppy farms. Reproductive violence refers to violence that violates a person’s reproductive autonomy or to violence that is directed against an individual due to their reproductive capabilities. It is typically regarded as a type of intimate partner violence. However, in this chapter we demonstrate that this type of violence is committed by humans against nonhuman animals on a daily basis in dairy- and puppy-farms.
