Abstract
The editorial provides an introduction to the contested area of skills in drawing including the concept of de-skilling as a legacy of modern art processes. Contemporary perspectives, inclusiveness and (dis)ability studies inform the editorial. The editors introduce a wide range of peer-reviewed contemporary positions on what drawing skills may mean.
