Abstract
This is an entry for the Brill Bibliographical History of Muslim-Christian Relations of the seventeenth century. It sheds light on the life and work of Ali al-Munayyar - a little known figure about whom hardly anything is written. The focus is on his extant manuscript or polemitcal argument against Jews and Christian in seventeenth century Ottoman Egypt, situating its content in the context of Muslim-Christian polemics and legal, and political thought.
