Julia Lux discusses the work and social policy projects in Germany and France against the background of the crisis processes since 2007. She argues that Germany also consolidates the work and social system of the Agenda 2010 during the crisis, while in France strong changes in the working- and social policy. Using a critical, discursive approach to political-economic analysis, we will examine how political actors and their legitimates and shape the trend towards the deregulation of the labor market, the expansion of (working) working lives, reform and the reduction of social systems in both countries.
