Abstract

A consideration of how one might go about teaching Beatles-related topics in a Popular Music Studies Masters programme, and how links have been made between British academia and the heritage tourism industry through direct co-operation in relation with this programme. For example, the intended outcomes for this project are to continue this partnership (the partnership has been re-validated for another five years) and allow both Liverpool Hope students and Beatles Story staff to have the fullest opportunities to develop their learning skills. This would also then be of direct benefit to visitors at the attraction via perhaps the introduction of topic-specific lectures and hands-on learning opportunities.
